The Volvo VNL 630 Truck with i-Torque

Volvo VNL Trucks are the ultimate efficiency, keeping you on the road and maximizing your productivity. But if you thought the VNL was already about as good as it gets for large trucks, think again — because Volvo Trucks is back with an exciting new upgrade: i-Torque.

The newest version of the VNL combines a brand new powertrain designed to optimize performance with Volvo’s proprietary I-Shift transmission. The result? A high-performance truck that can handle all of your needs, whether you’re hauling heavy loads or navigating through rugged terrain.

Every business is probably constantly seeking the most efficient trucks today. Because if you have high efficiency now, that means you’ll have lower operating costs. That’s good for your profits. Since we know this is true (and we hope you do too), let us introduce you to Volvo’s multi-award-winning VNL 630.

The Volvo VNL is an excellent truck (I’m sure you know that). But what sets it apart from others in the heavy transport class is its incredible fuel efficiency. The VolvoVNL features a range of engines, but the one with i-Torque sets it apart. This post will walk you through: What is i-Torque? How does i-Torque improve fuel efficiency? Will all Volvo trucks benefit from having i-Torque? The future of i-Torque

In 2013, Volvo introduced its new generation of almost-compatible powertrain systems — the Fluidic Sculpture design that added to the classic stout Volvo look. In 2015, when the company released the all-new Volvo VNL with i-Torque, its new range of almost-compatible engines found a place in a powerful truck line with an improved engine design and power rating.

When you look at the Volvo VNL truck series, you see a lot of ways that it’s better than the competition. We’ve managed to lower fuel consumption, reduce CO2 emissions, and improve driver comfort. But the most crucial development for this series is our new piezo i-torque transmission, which provides the best combination of performance and efficiency.

Volvo trucks are set to revolutionize the trucking industry with their new i-Torque system. Drivers will have increased power and efficiency with this unique innovation. Now’s the time to look into purchasing a Volvo for the company!

When you think of Volvo Trucks, you immediately picture a heavy-duty truck. But Volvo is continually breaking new grounds with innovations that improve efficiency and enhance performance. One such innovation is the i-Torque, which the engineers developed and refined to improve how trucks handle turns, take on hills, and accelerate from stops.

When dealing with long-haul transportation, a truck’s payload and fuel efficiency are the most things that matter. To accomplish this, Volvo Trucks introduced a new technology called the i-Torque. Using a planetary gear-set, the i-Torque can convert engine torque into a rotational force used on either axle. This allows each driven wheel to track its course independent of each other to improve fuel efficiency further and increase payload at precisely the right time in each curve where one side is in the sloping part of the turn while the other is on level ground. This improvement makes this technology one of the most significant breakthroughs since power steering was improved.

The VolvoVNL is the perfect truck for transporting goods on local and international road journeys if you own haulage business. It’s used by various operators like Transervice, Karsun Logistics Ltd., Lambach Transport GmbH, and Welte Lkw & Logistik GmbH. Here’s what you can expect from this truck:

What is i-Torque?

I-Torque is a new system designed to improve fuel efficiency in Volvo VNL trucks. It uses a more efficient engine, optimized aerodynamics, and an intelligent gearbox.

The first part of this system is the Volvo D13 engine series, designed explicitly for fuel-efficiency. This engine has a turbo compounding system that allows it to generate more power from the exhaust gases that come out of the motor. This means it uses less fuel while still getting better performance from the engine.

The second part is the aerodynamic features on Volvo VNL trucks like grille shutters, roof fairings, and side skirts that help reduce air resistance when driving down highways or other roads with high speeds like interstates or freeways.

The final part is an intelligent gearbox that automatically shifts gears based on how fast you’re going and what kind of terrain is ahead, providing a suitable change before reaching those conditions rather than after they’ve already happened, which means less fuel consumption overall because there won’t be any wasted energy spent spinning up from low RPMs into higher ones unnecessarily during typical driving situations like highway cruising where constant speeds are kept over long distances without much fluctuation due to traffic patterns which often cause rate changes every few seconds at most.

How does i-Torque improve fuel efficiency?

The Volvo Trucks i-Torque system improves fuel efficiency by eliminating all wasted torque and fuel usage. On a vehicle with i-Torque, the engine always operates at its peak torque, so it is always running at its most efficient.

The system does this by only allowing the engine to use the amount of fuel needed for a given job — even if that means using less than 20% of the torque.

This system also provides additional benefits to drivers and operators, who can now feel confident that they’re using their vehicle safely while still getting their power.

Will all Volvo trucks benefit from having i-Torque?

It was a big moment when Volvo Trucks rolled out their new i-Torque technology.

It was also a big question: What would this mean for the rest of the Volvo Trucks line? Would other truck models be compatible with i-Torque?

The answer is yes! All Volvo Trucks will benefit from i-Torque. This is because i-Torque technology is not dependent on the engine model–it works with any Volvo Trucks engine model.

Having an engine compatible with the torque technology means that all of your engines will be able to use even less fuel than ever before, plus have an even more powerful performance.

What does this mean for you and your fleet? You can save money and still expect the same powerful performance from your trucks.

And that’s something worth thinking about.

The future of i-Torque

What does the future of i-Torque look like? If you were to pick two words to describe it, they would be “digital” and “connected.”

The core idea behind i-Torque is that we connect trucks to the infrastructure around them, so you can better monitor your fleet, optimize routes, and proactively catch maintenance issues before they become a problem. As we look toward the future of this technology, we see it becoming more integrated with what’s going on in the traffic situation around you — so you know any time there’s a delay ahead. We see it giving you advice on maximizing fuel efficiency and keeping your fleet as productive as possible. It is becoming an even more critical tool as companies move toward autonomous vehicles and intelligent road networks.

It doesn’t take a lot of research to see that the Volvo VNL Trucks with i-Torque are superior to their competitors. They’ve got better handling and torque and are even more fuel-efficient!

When you choose the Volvo VNL Trucks with i-Torque, you’re choosing a partner in your business who will never let you down.
